โดยสามารถจำลองแบบการฝึก เสมือนกำลังกระโดดร่มจริง เหมาะสำหรับทั้ง ผู้เริ่มฝึกหัด หรือ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ
ผู้รับการฝึก จะสวมใส่หมวก VR Helmet ซึ่งมีระบบตรวจจับทิศทางการเคลื่อนที่ที่แม่นยำ และสามารถมองไปรอบๆ ตลอด 360 องศา เครื่องฝึกฯ รองรับการฝึกที่เสมือนจริง ตั้งแต่ การออกจากเครื่องบิน, จนกระทั่งช่วงการลงสู่พื้น ครูผู้ฝึกสามารถจำลอง สถานะการณ์ต่างๆ เช่น ร่มไม่กาง, ลมกรรโชก, ฝนตก ตามแต่ระดับของการฝึก หรือสามารถสร้างการจำองตามผู้ใช้ต้องการได้เอง และยังมี Debriefing Function เพื่อให้ครูสามารถอธิบายเหตุการณ์และดูย้อนหลังเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นได้
สำหรับการวางแผนหรือซักซ้อมสำหรับกิจการทางทหาร ผู้ใช้สามารถสร้างฐานข้อมูลจำลองบริเวณที่จะไปปฏิบัติงานได้ โดยสร้าง Terrain แบบ 3 มิติ จากภาพถ่าย และจำลองข้อมูลคุณลักษณะเฉพาะของร่มแต่ละแบบได้ด้วย
The Parachute Simulator is state of the art PC based simulator developed to provide highly efficient parachute training for novice as well as experienced skydivers.
Wearing a high resolution VR helmet combined with a highly accurate head tracking system the trainee scans a detailed geo-specific 3D database. The simulator supports realistic training from leaving the aircraft till landing on the ground. Different Malfunctions can be selected by the instructor based on desired training level. Full debriefing capability is integrated into the system. Specific skydiving maneuvers can be trained as well.
For military mission planning and rehearsal, special photogrammetric database generation tools can be used to create terrain. The parachute software allows for the selection of various canopies.
