SDA has received the award from Royal Thai Navy, Hydrographic Department to build three fast craft 18 m survey boat. The boat will be fully equipped with survey equipment such as: Multi-beam Echosounder systems, Real-time Processing System, Motion Sensors, FOG Sensor and DGPS Satellite Receiver.
This project is the biggest project ever for the department since it is corporated. These three boats will be used for a mission to survey sea-bed character and classification of Khong River. This project is joint-cooperated with Ministry of Foreign Affairs
